Cameroon – Moubora (Pumpkin Leaves Mixed With Fried Groundnut)

Moubora is a dish made from pumpkin leaves and fried groundnut. Pumpkin leaves commonly known as “nchi” in my locality is a plant vegetable which is very common in backyard gardens in most village settings. This dish is a delicacy of the Bangwa people of the south west region of Cameroon.

Laos – Ping Kai

The Laos where most of the citizen is a Buddhist use the lunar calendar. One of the festivals is the Wat Phou festival, a festival held on the full moon in at third month of the lunar calendar. As a tourist, to enjoy a festival won’t be complete without tasting the local food in the area. One of the recommended food to taste in Laos is Ping Kai.

Kuwait – Traditional Machboos (Spicy Rice With Chicken and Red Sauce)

Machboos is the national dish of Kuwait. The rice specialty with tender and juicy meat with delicious red sauce is amazing. Whenever visitors visit Kuwait they always try Machboos because of rice and who does not love rice. The interesting thing about the dish is the rice is soaked in rose water and saffron. The other rice dishes which are made in rice do not add rose water to the rice. This is the only dish that includes rose water.

India – India’s Makhan Murg (The Butter Chicken)

In the Motil Mahal hotel’s kitchens in Delhi in the 1950’s, the Butter chicken dish was born. It has now become one of India’s well-known dishes.

Pakistan – Delicious Kashmiri Roghan Josh

Roghan josh is a royal dish. It is served to ”the mughal kings”. This dish is the specialty of Kashmir. This is the combination of roasted lamb and thick spicy gravy.

United Arab Emirates – Luqaimat ( Emirati Dessert )

Luqaimat is a deep-fried dough that is then dipped into the sugar syrup and served by adding some nuts, sesame seeds over it. It is a local traditional dish of the whole UAE. This word LUQAIMAT is not actually the name of the dish. The actual name of the dish is the Arabic word, Luqmat-al-Qadi.
