Nigeria – Ofada Rice

Ofada Rice is mostly consumed by Yoruba people from Nigeria, it is also called brown rice and is mostly known with the name in other worldly areas. Oyo tribe also prefer to prepare this cuisine because it is rich in food minerals than white rice.

Nigeria – Ofe Owerri

Ofe Owerri is another cuisine with an interesting background. Ofe means soup while Owerri is a capital of Imo state in the country, this correspondingly form a meaning of Owerri soup.

Nigeria – Miyan Kuka

Miyan kuka is among the loved soups in Nigeria with Ewedu and Ofe onubu included. Miyan kuka is originally comes from Hausa tribe in the northern Nigeria.

Nigeria – Yummy Chicken Vegetable Ugba

In most the restaurant you have eating, some of the meals are not even on google or have been prepared by you. In my country, Ugba is bitter-leaf and this leave is being used to prepare so many soups of different kind.

Cameroon, Nigeria – Egusi Soup/Stew with Rice or Ripe Plantains or White Yams

Egusi soup is made from melon seeds. The melon is harvested when it is matures, it cracked open and the seeds removed and dried. The seeds are collected and dried well using just sun light. (the African way).

Nigeria – Obe Ishapa

Obe Ishapa is a Nigerian cuisine eating by those of western Nigeria. The cuisine is not so common but it eating so well by those who know of it and who can prepare it.

Nigeria – Tuwo Shinkafa

Nigerian cuisine Tuwo shinkafa is originated from Hausa tribe, people leaving on the northern part of the country. Unlike tuwo masara that is prepared from maize, Tuwo shinkafa is prepared mainly from highly smashed rice and sometimes from corn.

Ewa Agoying is a Nigerian meal commonly eating in Nigeria. In one of my articles on local cuisine, I wrote on Tukuni. With Tukuni, it is spiced pounded potatoes with beans.

Nigeria – Ofe Achara

They say, Ofe Achara is the most traditional way of preparing Egusi soup in Nigeria. This has a traditional name called Mgbam. This means molded Egusi. And it is said, the Egusi is not just any type of molded Egusi.

Nigeria – Marugbo Soup

Marugbo Etawa soup is that which is eating by the Ondo people of the western part of Nigeria. This is soup traditional prepared with a combination of two leaves which are dried Marugbo leaf and dried Efirin leaf.
