Uganda – Ferinda

Ferinda is a traditional dish from Tooro region located in western Uganda. This region is mainly known for its large tourism potential which is evident with the the extensive Rwenzori mountain ranges nicknamed “Mountains of the Moon” by John Speke a famous explorer from the Royal Geographical Society.

It is not only served as a breakfast rather it is also served as lunch and dinner. It is said that this dish came into existence in the regions of Tunisia and Yemen. After people living in the North of Africa migrated to Israel, this dish became Israel’s national dish.

Zambia – Kalembula

Kalembula is name that whenever you will be required to list down Zambian cuisines, no wonder it must appear there. It’s a cuisine from Sweet potato leaves, mixed with vegetables to enhance taste and nutritional benefits.

Traditionally this cuisine will be prepared without any spices or meat mix, but nowadays people like to mix it with meat or potatoes, for improving taste.

Ful medames is the Levantine salad made up of fava beans and raw vegetables. Ful medames is eaten in Arabic countries, Asia, Middle Eastern, and North African. This salad is the most ancient dish of Egyptian cuisine. There are many varieties of the dish around the world.
