Cameroon – Moubora (Pumpkin Leaves Mixed With Fried Groundnut)

Moubora is a dish made from pumpkin leaves and fried groundnut. Pumpkin leaves commonly known as “nchi” in my locality is a plant vegetable which is very common in backyard gardens in most village settings. This dish is a delicacy of the Bangwa people of the south west region of Cameroon.

This dish is often cooked during specialties like enjoyment parties where there will continuous flow of alcohol from evening to dawn. Viande pimenté is a food movement taking place in Metropolitan cities, particularly Douala and Yaounde, where there is high state of living and enjoyment.

Pakistan – Achari Channa Chaat

Most chaats begun in a few parts of Uttar Pradesh in India. There are common components among these variations counting dahi (yogurt), channa (chickpeas) chopped onions and coriander.

Cambodia – Samlar Machu

Tonle Sap is a river and lake in Cambodia that flow in two different way during the year. In the monsoon season, Tonle Sap lake provides lots of food, freshwater fish that swim upstream. As an agricultural country, Cambodia has many delicious food variants, especially soup. Samlar Machu is one of the Cambodian sups that have a sour taste (Machu).

Makon Special, Cameroon – ACHU

Achu is a Makon traditional dish. It is a special. The meal is made up of a mixture of a couple of ingredients that gives its name Achu.

Japan – Chazuki

This is a very unique dish of Japanese cuisine in which we can mix rice with prepared green tea and pour over the rice. Name of the dish which is used in Japanese cuisine is ”CHAZUKE”. From this word ”CHA” means ”TEA” and ”ZUKE” means ”SUBMERGE”.

This meal is well appreciated by workers that are coming back from work in the evening times. The meal is found in all the regions of Cameroon, but more particularly in the center region and the littoral region of the country.
