Malaysia – Hinava Ginapan

Kadazan-Dusun people from Sabah, Malaysia, live in the North Borneo island that has a long shoreline. Kadazan refers to all Tangara tribes that live in Sabah West Coast region, while other native tribes except the Tangara tribe called Dusun. For Kadasan-Dusun people, eating fish has become their tradition since they have enough resources for fresh seafood. One of their favorites is Hinava Ginapan.

Algerian / Turkish – Baklava

Baklava is one of the most popular desserts ever made in this world. It is basically pastry which is made by adding nuts, pistachios over the filo sheets which is then baked in the oven. This dessert goes way back to the times of the Ottoman Empire. There is a dish in the Turkish cuisine which resembles quite a lot with the Baklava and some say that it is the origin of Baklava. Korea – Jajangmyeon (자장면)

This is Korean noodles with black beans sauce. This dish is from the MYEON category of Korean cuisine. Noodles are very popular in South Korea and people used to love noodles in soups, curries, salads, etc. This dish has origin from Chinese cuisine but has an impact on Korean cuisine and now it is cooked in Korea with different variations. Gonghwachun (공화춘; 共和春) was the Chinese restaurants in 1900’s. They introduced the dish of noodles with red beans sauce to Korea.

Pakistan – Achar Gosht

Achar gosht another delicious dish originates from subcontinent. Indians mostly don’t like to use vinegar in vegetables or in food. Instead of it they use pickles which are sour, spicy in taste and good in smell. The achar gave birth to the achar gosht.
