Zimbabwe – Nhedzi

This cuisine comes from mushroom (termitomyces family of mushrooms) that are cooked with vegetables to bring the outcome for lunch or dinner meal.

Rwanda – Bloody Grass (Tembele)

Our country, Rwanda is located in the eastern part of the African continent. Every morning around the streets in almost all parts of the country, everyone stands out the door waiting for purchasing the green leaves, mostly Tembele.

Egypt – Falafel

Falafel is an all time favorite Egyptian street food. Falafel is also known as Tamiya but they are made with different main ingredients. It is considered to be a travelers delight. The origin of Falafel is said to be in Egypt itself but is considered to be 50/50. It is said that this dish was first made in the 4th century during the time on Lent.

Madagascar – Romazava (Beef and Vegetable Stew)

Romazava is a stew of meat and vegetables being cooked well to give a unique taste. It’s a national dish in Madagascar that is taken with a varieties of side dishes like rice or bread.

Cameroon – Kwacoco Bible

Kwacoco Bible is grated cocoyam mixed with spinach, palm oil, spices, smoked fish, crayfish, wrapped in plantain leaves and steamed and is cooked by many families, reasons being that it is economical and it has an ancestral link, that is, it is being perpetuated right from our ancestors to our grandparents till present date. Kwacoco Bible is a delicacy commonly prepared in the south west region of Cameroon.

Chad – Jarret de boeuf

Jarret de boeuf is a cuisine prepared in the country for a long time back. The cuisine itself follows very easy and simple steps to it’s ready meal state, almost everyone with the recipe instructions can make it.

Cameroon – Crab With Macabo and Tomatoes

There is richness found in meals. Cab with macabo and tomatoes is a meal representing many and different cultures and traditions in Cameroon brought together to make one. The crab comes from the Douala, precisely from the river wouri, also known as River of prawns. The macabo comes from Bafoussam. This dish comes from Cameroon.

Ghana – Banku

Banku is the traditional cuisine of GHANA. This dish is made with CORN and CASSAVA dough. This dish is famous all around GHANA but especially in the southern region of Ghana which includes EWE PEOPLE, FANTE PEOPLE, GA ADANGBE PEOPLE. Banku is originated from the two countries GHANA and TOGO.

Sierra Leone – Fish balls

In Sierra Leone, Mende is the largest tribe in the country, but our cuisine today comes from the Krio people dishes. It is a taste dish as it contains the mix of fish meat and potatoes. This cuisine is very famous during cerebrations and special home events like birthday parties or harvesting ceremonies.

Egypt – Ful Medames

Sulfur Midmas, also known as “Madmas Fools”, is a popular vegan dish in the Middle East and Leviathan, but it is considered an Egyptian dish. Fil Medium is a popular Middle Eastern breakfast cooked with canned beans and cooked lentils and then mixed with glycerin, lemon, and olive oil soup. Many countries, especially some cities, have their own interpretations. This is the best street food I’ve ever seen.
