Cameroon – Mets de Viande

Have you ever eaten raw cocoa in its first state. If it is not yet the case, you have the possibility of doing with Mets de viande. Mets de viande is a traditional meal eaten due to its taste like cocoa in its raw state, that is in its first state. Coocoa is highly cultivated in this part of the country.

Burkina Faso – Riz Gras

Burkina Faso is a country located western part of African continent. It is boarded by Mali to the north, Niger to the northeast and Togo to the south. It is a Savannah land with large plate and formerly know as “Upper Volta”.

Zambia – Chikanda

Zambian breakfast is served with pickled orchids. Chakanda, commonly known as African Polio, is one of the tastiest desserts in Zambia. The food was traditionally associated with the Baby tribe of the Northeast and Zambia, but today it is of interest throughout the country.

Nigeria – Aagun

Yoruba people from Nigeria have a lot of cuisines to taste, their cuisines are even in form of cereal mix, meat mix, vegetables mix or both mixes at a time. Aagun will work better for vegetarians as it is sourced from cornmeal.

Ghana – Jollof Rice

Ghanaian Jollof rice is what I am going to be writing on today. I had writing on jollof rice, but that was jollof rice prepared in the Cameroonian style. Preparing jollof rice in Ghana is slightly different. Take note not to get confuse.

West Africa – FuFu

FuFu is a very unique dough that is made with cassava. This dish is made in different countries by adding different ingredients according to the countries like Cuban, Ghananian, Liberia, etc. Fufu is eaten with fingers and small balls dipped in soup or added to the sauce. In the African tradition, Fufu acts as a family in the form of a big toe.

Tanzania – Matembele

Matembele are green leaves, mostly like potato leaves but with narrow shape and a red color at its steam. They have been named as bloody grass because it’s a major role they play into our bodies, to support blood production within.

Zambia – Yellow Beans Roast

In this cusine we will use the yellow one (picture number 4), as they are easy to get and even preparation method it doesn’t consume a lot of time.

Madagascar – Voanjobory sy hena-kisoa

Madagascar is where this taste comes from, Voanjobory sy hena-kisoa. Madagascar is an island in the Indian ocean. The island has got varieties of cuisines like Foza sy hena-kisoa a seafood and pork dish and Koba a mashed bananas dish wrapped with banana leaves.
