Filipino – Chicken Embutido

Embutido is a Filipino dish which is basically a meat loaf made usually with ground pork and beef but in many cases chicken is used to make it hence calling it Chicken Embutido. It is a dish famous for a festive season like Christmas and has a lot of demand in the streets of Philippines. The origin of Embutido dates back to the start of the 15th century. At those times the Spanish people who came to the Philippines brought their own traits with them and merged them with the ways of the Filipinos. Like many dishes before it Embutido was changed drastically towards the time as the people of the Philippines wanted to add their own flavors in it. Embutido is similar to another dish of the Philippines cuisine, Morcon. They both look identical but there are different from each other.

Pakistan – Afghani Plao

Plao is a dish which is famous in all over Pakistan. This dish is made up of rice and chicken.

Japan – Zosui / Ojiya

This dish is actually a soup which is made up of rice, vegetables, and meat. It is also known as ”Japanese Rice Soup”. This soup is originated from the concept that rice can be added to miso soup for a more tasty and healthy effect. There are few varieties of zosui by different ingredients to put on and different cooking time.

Burkina Faso – Sauce Gombo

Sauce gombo is simply translated as Okra sauce, “gombo” means “Okra”. Although the dish is dreamed to have Okras only, it is accompanied with some varieties of seafood including cray fish or crabs and beef as meat.

Pakistan – Spicy Chicken Samosa

This is a type of snack, loved by the people of Pakistan. Specifically, this dish is from the region Punjab of Pakistan. The use of ingredients spices like cumin, herbs, coriander, butter is very common in Punjab. This dish is very popular served as an evening snack or roadside street food.

Korean – Jeon

Jeon is a kind of fritters used as a snack and in brunch. It is very common go-to food of Korean Cuisine. It is served as appetizer, anju or banchan. Banchan is named for the side dishes served with the main Korean meal. Anju is a Korean term used to call that snacks, served with alcohol. And Buchimgae is the Korean Pancake, used to cooked mainly with vegetables and smoked eggs.

Italy – Gelato

If you ask an Italian what his/her favorite dessert is they will all say one name only “Gelato”. Gelato is a frozen dessert which is made with the combination of milk, cream and sugar. In Italy it can be easily found everywhere. It is a great family dessert and a great way to finish of the dining. Gelato is an Italian word which literally means “frozen” just like its texture and its flavor. It may look like an normal ice cream but it is not. Gelato originated in Sicily in the 16th century. The first gelato was made by Bernardo Buontalenti who was a native of Florence. Gelato is considered a prize in all of Italy and it is loved to the core.

Talking about Vietnam won’t be complete without talking about their noodle soups: Pho noodle uses tender beef that reflects Hanoi purity tradition, Bun Bo that has a strong spice, and Hue as the progressive spirit of the Vietnam youth.
