United Kingdom – Eton Mess

Eton Mess is a traditional English dessert which is the combination of strawberries , meringues and whipped cream. What makes this dessert special is the amount of flavors it gives when combined with different elements of food. Eton Mess was originated in year 1930 when it was served in the schools sock shop. As being there for quite some time I can share my experience in loving and admiring this dessert.

Ghana – Waakye

From the city of Accra, Waakye has been used largely for a meal, as lunch and dinner. The cuisine comprises of the mixture rice with beans, cooked to give a traditional taste of the mix.

Uganda – Ferinda

Ferinda is a traditional dish from Tooro region located in western Uganda. This region is mainly known for its large tourism potential which is evident with the the extensive Rwenzori mountain ranges nicknamed “Mountains of the Moon” by John Speke a famous explorer from the Royal Geographical Society.

Taiwan (China) – Lu Ro Fan

This dish basically named Braised pork rice but in their language, they called ” Lu Ro Fan “. This dish is mostly liked by the people who love to eat spicy foods because this is full of spices like soy sauce, chilies, and so many other ingredients. This is the best dish to eat in Taiwan, seriously this is a mouth-watering dish.

Pakistan, India – Gajjar Ka Halwa (Carrots Dessert)

Halwa finds its roots in the Arabic language and it is a very dense desserts. Originally halwa was either flour based or used various nuts with sugar, milk and butter to create a sweet nutty dessert. It is commonly believed that this kind of halwa was introduced to the settlers in India through trade with the Middle East and Asia Minor during the expansion of the Mughal Empire.

Pakistan – Traditional Shahi Tukray (Sweet Creamy Dessert)

Shahi tukray is a creamy bread pudding. This is a mouth watering dessert. No occasion is complete without a bowl of this goodness. The texture is smooth, the aroma is royal and the taste is appetizing.

India – India’s Makhan Murg (The Butter Chicken)

In the Motil Mahal hotel’s kitchens in Delhi in the 1950’s, the Butter chicken dish was born. It has now become one of India’s well-known dishes.

Pakistan – Desi Lassi

Lassi is a creamy yogurt drink originated in Punjab from Indian subcontinent. Lassi is a very popular traditional drink among desis (Punjab people) because of its refreshing taste.

India, Pakistan – Egg Paratha

A Paratha is a dish originated in Indian Subcontinent before 12th century. Paratha is a Hindi word. It is known as a one of the most popular breakfast in India and Pkistan.

Korea – Bulgogi

Bulgogi is Korean style grilled and roasted meat dish which is also known as FIRE MEAT. BULGOGI is a Korean word, where BUL means, Fire, and GOGI means, Meat. Gui is a Korean cooking style which is usually said in a sense of Grilled food. So this dish, Bulgogi is a Gui. During the era of GOGURYEO, this dish is called MAEKJEOK. Over the time this dish is said to be as NEOBIANI.
