Nigeria – Beef Stew

Nigeria – Efo Riro

Efo Riro is a Yoruba tribe term meaning “stirring green leaves”, ego stands for “to stir” and Riro stands for “green leaves”. In Yoruba land you may even get snails and shrimps included. I promise once you taste this dish, you won’t forgive yourself to cook it daily.

Nigeria – Worowo Vegetable

There is a soup called Worowo vegetable soup. It is made from leaves. This leaf until you have them and harvest, you can’t prepare worowo soup. This is a Nigeria cuisine and particular from the people of Ekiti state. What accompanies worowo soup is pounded yams.

Nigeria – Amala and Ewedu

Ewedu is a delicious soup mostly associated with the Yoruba people of Nigeria. This is mostly the western side of Nigeria. Ewedu is made from the leaves of a jute plant. This soup is usually garnished with caw skin (canda) and meat, red or dry meat, with pepper source.

Turwo shinkafa is a Nigerian cuisine, mostly eating by the Hausa tribe. This is made from non-parboiled rice. This is made from non-parboiled rice because, parboiled rice will give a different look or finishing.
