Pakistan, India – Kali Masoor Dal (Black Lentil Gram)

Lentil is a special type of dish and it is part of many cultural cuisines. Asian people called it “Daal”. The lentil is known by its plant called lens culinaris. This dish is very common the people of Pakistan or India cooked it twice or triple in a week. In Pakistan people called this black lentil gram as “Masar ki Daal” or Kali Masoor ki Daal. Lentils production is the common method of the plantation.

Japan – Korokke

This dish is a Japanese deep-fried version of YOSHOKU. This is a type of CROQUETTE, which is actually a deep-fried or shallow-fried kind of cutlets. This dish is made as a snack, like a dinner and then it is usually cooked at the festivals like Japanese new year. Different kinds of korokke is cooked and sold in Japan.

Ramen is a special dish from Japanese cuisine. It is also known as SHINA SOBA or CHUKA SOBA in different areas of Japan. Two main ingredients of this Japanese ramen are broth/soup and noodles.

Pakistan – Traditional Khichri

Khichri is another name of goodness.It prepared by adding rice,moong daal,ghee,salt,cloves,cumin and many other ingredients.The name of it is derived from sanskrit word khicca which means a dish of rice.You can eat khichri as lunch or dinner.

Nepal – Yomari Steam Dumpling

It is a dumpling that is made in steam. It is the most famous dish of Nepal, so if you visit Nepal then you just go to the restaurant and first order the yomari. This dish specially made on festivals and special occasions, every occasion is incomplete without this dish.

Laos – Ping Kai

The Laos where most of the citizen is a Buddhist use the lunar calendar. One of the festivals is the Wat Phou festival, a festival held on the full moon in at third month of the lunar calendar. As a tourist, to enjoy a festival won’t be complete without tasting the local food in the area. One of the recommended food to taste in Laos is Ping Kai.
