Pakistan – Delicious Fried Spicy Dumchi

Introduction
Dumchi is one of the favorite snack or dinner of Pakistani’s. If you want to eat it as a snack then you eat it alone and, if you you want to eat this as a dinner you can eat this with naan and chutney (sauce). In winters roadside and foodstreet are full with this yummy dish. The texture is very chewy and the flavor is mouth watering. This is the best dish to eat in winters. You can serve this yummy dish on festivals like bonfire, parties, bbq nights and other functions. There are many types of dumchi.

Almost 90 percent of Pakistani’s love dumchi to eat as a snack. The aroma of this is out of the world. This goodness is full of protein. It is prepared by adding a lot of spices like black pepper, red chili flakes, red chili powder, cumin, coriander, turmeric etc. The recipe of this is so simple you can easily make it under 30 minutes.
Introduction
- Dumchi 1 kg
- salt to taste
- black pepper 1 tsp
- red chili flakes 1 tsp
- cloves 3
- coriander 2 tsp
- turmeric 1/2 tsp
- cumin 1 tsp
- star anise 1
- water 1 cup
- ghee 5 tbsp
- butter 1 tbsp
Method of cooking
Step 1
Take a pan and add ghee and dumchi and saute for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes add salt, black pepper, red chili flakes, coriander and again saute for 5 minutes and mix well.
Step 2
Now take a bowl of water and add 1/2 cup of water and add cloves, star anise, cumin and leave it for 30 minutes. Now add turmeric and butter to the pan.
Step 3
Now take the bowl of water and remove star anise, cloves and cumin and then add the water to the pan cook until water dries and then serve.
