The Philippine people celebrating Christmas in a colorful festival named The Parol Star Lantern Festival. Because of the Parol Festival, San Fernando become known as The Philippine Christmas City. Aside from their Parol Festival, the Philippines also have delicious food to be served on Christmas. One of them is Chicken Inasal.

The Philippines – Beef Sinigang

Sinigang is the stew or soup dish in which different pieces of meat with vegetables and seasonings are added.This meal is served at different times of the day like breakfast, lunch, dinner, and even as the starter or appetizer.Sinigang is originated from the TAGALOG. They were the second-largest Ethnolinguistic group of people in the Philippines. There are several varieties of this dish.

Filipino – Chicken Inasal

Chicken Inasal is an Philippine BBQ dish which is known to be the heart of the local cuisines. It was first made in a city called Bacolod which is located in the south of Philippines. Inasal is a Visayan term which means Grilled Meat. It was given this name because the chicken is grilled in the end in this dish. My recommendation to everyone is to try this dish and experience the true flavors of the Philippines cuisine.

Silog is the Filipino breakfast has many elements served in a plate. Silog was prepared first time by leftover food from the night before. The term Tapsilog was first time came from the Tapsi ni Vivian, the restaurant in 1980.
