Kenya – Ndizi ya Kisii

Like I wrote in my past article on Banana cake, here is a meal that it is cooked with plantains. This is a plant that grows banana’s which is eating as fruit and plantains that is cooked or roasted before it is eaten.

Sierra Leone – Jollof Rice

Sierra Leone is a country located on the west cost of Africa. It shares borders with Guinea to the north and northeast, Liberia and the Atlantic Ocean.

Africa – Preparation of Rice and Tomato Source (Stew)

This meal rice and stew is eating everywhere and nearly recognized by the whole world. This is because the meal is so delicious. It is eating by families on occasional days in Africa or periods and on normal weekly days.

Nigeria – Ikokore (Yam Portage)

Ikokore (Water yam portage) originated from Ogun state, Nigeria and is a major dish for the Ijebu natives.

Niger – Dambou

Niger is among the western African countries. Despite the idea that Niger shares it’s cuisines with Nigeria, however they are quite two different countries with very little customs and traditional dishes similarities. One to talk about is Dambou.

Madagascar – Mofo Gasy

Mofo gasy is the Malagasy pancakes made of rice. They are mostly cooked along the streets and sold at very cheap price. The restaurants ones, they are not that cheap either.

Cameroon – Akum Beans

Akum is a locality located in the Northwest region of Cameroon, precisely in the Meme division. Today our point of focus is on the Akum beans and its preparation.

Cameroon – Black Sauce With Plantains and White Sauce

Black sauce with plantains and white sauce is a meal of two extremes, white and black. The black sauce represents the black soil on which the inhabitants plant in order to have what to eat and the white sauce represents the white products they get after a hard and difficult time of planting. Black sauce with plantains and white sauce is prepared in the West region of Cameroon.

Cameroon – Fufu Corn (Stiff Porridge) and Njama Njama (Leaf Vegetable)

You will not hold your manner on this cuisine from Cameroon for it’s taste. The meal is the mixture of leafy greens, onions, tomatoes, garlic and pepper powder.

Zimbabwe – Bota (Milk Porridge)

In Zimbabwe Bota is native term meaning a special prepared porridge from milk, peanut butter and probably more ingredients, that is taken normally in the morning as breakfast to give a day strength.
