Thailand – Kaeng Phet

Despite their rough martial art, Thailand people have a lot of delicious food that could attract tourists. As a part of Southeast Asia, they are known for their spice and rich taste of food. Kaeng Phet is one of them. They use a traditional curry spice named prik gaeng ped made from fresh ingredient ground using mortar and pestle.

Pakistan – Karhi

Karhi of dahi (yogurt) was one of the famous dishes of subcontinent. It is the part of local cuisine of subcontinent (India and Pakistan). It was mainly eaten with khichri. But people also liked to eat it with boiled rice or chappati also.

Pakistan – Keema Bharee Karele (Mince Filled Bitter Gourd)

This is the dish made up of bitter gourd, filled with spicy mince, and then dipped into the gravy. This dish is very popular in the Punjab region and served with roti, bread, and rice. In this dish, we have three components cooked independently and then assembled to make a dish.

Meaning of the word ras malai is comes from two words RAS means syrup or sweet flavor and MALAI means cream. Ras Malai is the most delicious of my sweet Pakistan a few miles away.

Myanmar – Laphet Khohk

Laphet Thohk is a Myanmar salad using Laphet as the main ingredient, topped with fresh vegetables, tomatoes, roast peanut, garlic oil, and minced garlic. Laphet word comes from a local language that means fermented tea leaves.

Myanmar – Hto-hpu Nwe

Myanmar, one of the countries in Southeast Asia, has become a tourist destination for a long time. Attracting with its beautiful view, Myanmar is also known as a thousand pagoda country. Hto-hpu Nwe has a texture similar to porridge, smooth, sweet, and warm will. According to the local language, Hto-hpu Nwe means warm tofu even its not contain any tofu yet.

Japan – Karumeyaki (Honeycomb Toffee/Sponge Toffee)

Honeycomb caramel, caramel sponge, hokey pokey, No matter what you call this pack, we all agree that it is one of a kind. Crunchy, light, and sweet pieces of caramel plunge you back into childhood for sure. Toffee is actually a dessert or candy, the snack that is created by caramelizing the sugar with butter, some salt, flour if required.

Brunei – Belutak Sausage

Brunei is one of the countries in Southeast Asia, known as a small but wealthy country. Brunei has various tradition and culinary, they also have a dish use sausage as the main ingredient named Belutak. As a Muslim country, Brunei people only use the halal ingredient to prepare their dish. To make Belutak, they use beef as the sausage ingredient.
