Vietnam, Hong Kong (China) – Banh Cuon

The meaning of Banh Cuon is ” STEAMED ROLLS ” and Banh Cuon is the Vietnamese dish which came from the Northern side of Vietnam. Banh Cuon is the most popular dish because this dish is available in the streets and in every event or function of Vietnam. Banh Cuon is a Western dish which is originated from Northern Vietnam.

Pakistan, India, Bangladesh – Pratha Roll

Pratha roll is a delicious dish commonly eaten in lunch by many people. This dish is also offered in many big restaurants.

Burkina Faso – Pouletbicyclette

Burkina Faso people consumes chickens and poultry at large, for this reason chicken sellers could tie more than 100 chickens around their neck for delivery. On top of the story, in many parts in Burkina Faso you will find chicken grilled for sell, this is why the cuisine was called Pouletbicyclette.

Cameroon – Mboh

Mboh is food made from groundnut paste. It is a very simple meal. it is a pudding like Egusi pudding, but the difference between this two is that, one is made from Egusi and the other is made from groundnut. All are nutritional and valued in Cameroon.

In Mexico, this dish is not referred as Mexican rice or Spanish rice. It is referred as arroz which means rice or arroz rojo which means res rice.

Like I wrote in my past article on Banana cake, here is a meal that it is cooked with plantains. This is a plant that grows banana’s which is eating as fruit and plantains that is cooked or roasted before it is eaten.

Cambodia – Samlar Machu

Tonle Sap is a river and lake in Cambodia that flow in two different way during the year. In the monsoon season, Tonle Sap lake provides lots of food, freshwater fish that swim upstream. As an agricultural country, Cambodia has many delicious food variants, especially soup. Samlar Machu is one of the Cambodian sups that have a sour taste (Machu).

Cameroon – Kombassa Soup

Kombassa soup is a soup of raw plantains and chicken. Kombassa here stands for unity. So the use of kombassa in describing this meal has its great significance which means the food that unites. The way the plantains is being cooked is different from the traditional cooking style of plantains. Kombassa soup comes from Kom in the North West region of Cameroon.
