Haricot is the french word for beans and beignet in English means puff balls. Though Cameroon is made up of the francophones and the anglophones, if there is one thing that brings them together and they say in common is beans.
Nyamangoro red soup is a soup having the taste of red oil which is locally made in Cameroon. Cooking nyamangoro with red oil gives it a reddish appearance, reason why it is known as nyamangoro red soup. Nyamangoro red soup sees its origin from the Bayangui locality in the Southwestern part of Cameroon.
The name Ajere meat comes from the Widikum dialect which means in English language the pink meat. This is due to the ingredients that is being used that gives the meat, the pink color. Ajere meat comes from the locality of Widikum, under the subdivision of Manchum in the North west side of Cameroon.

Jeck meat with fried irish potatoes is a another form of bifteck. This food originates from the fact that it is solely for people who have a high degree of sugar in their blood. Jeck meat comes from the centre region, precisely in the locality of Sangmalima. Though now, it has spreaded to other parts of the country.
Kwikwi red soup with waterfufu is a delicious meal cooked by the Mamfe inhabitants. The food is being cooked by inhabitants for its richness in mineral resources and also in starch especially the red oil. The local cuisine permitting us to travel is taking us to the Mamfe locality. A locality situated in the SouthWest region of Cameroon, made up of hills and valleys, giving the impression that Mamfe is found in a basin.
Gum Gum with brown fish sauce is cooked for various reasons like traditional reasons and domestic reasons for various purposes. Traditional reasons like the celebration of the intronisation of a new head of village or when the head of family is welcoming the delegation from the head of village into his house. Gum Gum with brown fish sauce is a traditional meal that is being prepared in the West part of Cameroon.
