Pakistan – Halwa Puri

INTRODUCTION
Halwa Puri is most famous breakfast in Pakistan. It is one of its kind. This breakfast includes three dishes halwa, puri and channe. Halwa is made from semolina and channe is made from chickpeas. Whenever any Pakistani goes outside to do breakfast surely that person eats Halwa Puri because of its delicious taste. We can enjoy two taste with it. We can eat puri with halwa and also puri with channe in this way we get two different taste.
INGREGIENTS FOR HALWA
- Oil = 2 cup
- Semolina = 2 cup
- Sugar = 2 cup
- Cardamom = 4
INGREDIENTS FOR CHANNE
- Boiled Chickpeas = Half Kilogram
- Boiled Brown Lentils = 1 Cup
- Crushed Red Chili = 1 Tablespoon
- Cumin Seeds = 1 Tablespoon
- Rolled Red Chili = 1 Tablespoon
- Powder Spics = 1 Tablespoon
- Black Pepper = 1 Tablespoon
- Salt = 1 Tablespoon
- Tamarind = Some Amount
- Ginger And Garlic Paste = 1 Tablespoon
INGREDIENTS FOR PURI
- Maida = 2 Cup
- Semolina = 2 Tablespoon
- Carom Seeds = Half Tablespoon
- Salt = Half Tablespoon
- Oil = 2 Tablespoon
PROCEDURE FOR HALWA
Add two 4 cups of water in 2 cups sugar and put the flame to high mix it until sugar syrup is made. Now heat up the oil separately and add 4 cardamoms and add two cups semolina and fry it. After some time mix sugar syrup put it under pressure after 10 minutes serve it with topping of crushed almonds
PROCEDURE OF CHANNE
Add some water and mix all ingredients mentioned above. Put the flame high and let it cook under pressure. When water dries your channe is ready
PROCEDURE OF PURI
Knead the given ingredients and wait for 2 hours. After that take some of its amount make a ball with hand and roll it. A circle will form. Now fry it until its color changes to light golden and your puri is ready
HOW TO SREVE?
Serve halwa, puri and channe at same time and enjoy puri with halwa and channe.
