Japan – Melonpan

Sweet bun soft inside covered with crispy-crunchy cookie dough is the best thing for a snack as a biscuit, like a cookie, as a bun. This is known as melonpan because of having the same shape like melon. This is more like a bun in texture but having many flavors to be added on to give exotic flavors and new tastes. There are various types of the melonpan bun with different fillings and stuffing added.

Japan – Osechi RAYORI ( New year’s Feast )

TSUBUKU, is actually a founder of this dietary cuisine. The traditional way to celebrate Japanese cuisine’s idea is given by Tsubuku. The main dish of this special feast is ZONI. Zoni is a specially formulated rice dish.

Japan – Karumeyaki (Honeycomb Toffee/Sponge Toffee)

Honeycomb caramel, caramel sponge, hokey pokey, No matter what you call this pack, we all agree that it is one of a kind. Crunchy, light, and sweet pieces of caramel plunge you back into childhood for sure. Toffee is actually a dessert or candy, the snack that is created by caramelizing the sugar with butter, some salt, flour if required.

Japan – Sashimi

Sashimi is a Japanese cuisine dish. It is a very simple but popular dish, this is not the main course but loved by every Japanese people to enjoy it as wholemeal or the main course. Cooking is not even included in making this dish and served with the most famous MISO SOUP, or as a good bowl of rice. SASHIMI means pierced meat. Like Sashi means ”pierced” and mi means ”meat”.

Japan – Tonkatsu

TONKATSU is a platter of few elements having much variety but the main thing is ”fried tempura pork cutlet”. In sino Japanese language this word means Pork cutlets but having more components on the plate. But star of the dish is this Pork Cutlet/ Fried pork.

Japan – Katsudon Egg Rice Bowl

Katsudon is a popular Japanese food made up of having two-three items as shown in the name of the dish, rice bowl and eggs. The name of the dish is from two different Japanese dishes: one is from the Japanese rice bowl and the other is from the traditional Japanese Pork cutlet.

Japan – Shiitake Zongzi

In a normal word, it is known by the name rice dumplings or sticky rice dumplings. This is a Japanese dish with a few elements in combination. It is basically a rice dish, moreover rice dumplings and also be called rice cakes. During Dragon Boat Festival or Doubler Fifth Festival, this is the dish eaten regularly. And the tradition evolved with the generations and every year in early May of the Japanese lunar calendar, glutinous rice dumplings are cooked and eaten in festivals. There are many variants of the dish.

Japan – Ramen ( Japanese Noodles Soup )

Ramen is a special dish from Japanese cuisine. It is also known as SHINA SOBA or CHUKA SOBA in different areas of Japan. Two main ingredients of this Japanese ramen are broth/soup and noodles.

Japan – Sushi Platter

Sushi is also known as Sushi-Meshi. It is a vinegar rice dish with having raw seafood slices and nori seaweed sheets. Sushi is usually confused with other Japanese dish that is SASHIMI, which is also a Japanese-originated dish of raw meat and just thin slices of meat served with soy sauce. Sushi is originated from the old tradition of Fermentation of rice. The people of Japan MUORMACHI PERIOD, ferment the rice for months and then served it with raw fish. There are different types of sushi served in worldwide with addition of different ingredients, different cooking methods, etc.

Japan – Nigirimeshi

This is the traditional rice dish of Japan which is simply known as rice balls. This dish has many other names according to the filling. There are different ingredients used in making this simple but with a lot of varieties in this dish. From Kamakura to the Edo period this dish is invented. Sumurai stored these rice balls into bamboo sheath and use them at the time of war.
