Cameroon – Black Beans and Dodo

Bean is a common seed crop which is cultivated almost in all regions of Cameroon. Beans are cultivated in both the raining season as well as the dry season in Cameroon thus there is an abundant of beans in the country. Black beans and dodo is a delicious meal loved by many and eaten at anytime as it can be taken as breakfast.

Nigeria – Ofe Akwu

Palm nut soup also known as Ofe Akwu is a delicious African delicacy made from creamy extract got from pulverized palm nut fruit. In Africa, and Nigeria to be précised, the women must know how to cook.

Ghana – Waakye

From the city of Accra, Waakye has been used largely for a meal, as lunch and dinner. The cuisine comprises of the mixture rice with beans, cooked to give a traditional taste of the mix.

Cameroon – Kwem

Kwem is a local cuisine having the taste of raw grass. It is highly appreciated by the people of the South due to the fact that it contains so much nutrients that is very vital and essential to the human body as it adds Iron and purifies the blood against acids and any harmful material in the body.

Zimbabwe – Mopane Worms

All around the world, eating of insects is the hobby to people, and includes ants, beetles, grasshoppers and so many to mention. Today we will focus on worms specifically Mopane worms from Zimbabwe. They are also called mashonja and macimbi in Shona and Ndebele respectively.

Cameroon – Koki Beans

Koki beans is a deliciuous meal which is gotten from a special specie of beans called black-eyed-peas. This beans is cultivated mostly in some villages in the north west region like in Ndu and Ntui and in the south west region in meme division particularly in Mbonge , ekombe bonji and ekondo titi. Here in Cameroon you will hear names like “mami koki” referring to women who sell koki for a livelihood.

Rice with fried chicken is a common food, but rice with onions and fried chicken is not a common food. Rice with onions and fried chicken is a local cuisine highly being prepared in the Center region of Cameroon.

Cameroon – Sauce Pistache With Pork

Sauce pistache is a meal cooked during hot ceremonies like traditional mariages in the French part of Cameroon. Among the sauces being cooked or prepared, this one is the most important one on the long list of meals being prepared. Sauce pistache is being cooked by the Nyalla people in the center region of Cameroon.

Nigeria – Meatzza

They say; “those who often cook, hardly have the appetite to enjoy their own food”. Lol. Never has there been a day, when I cook and don’t have the appetite to eat. This is because most at times when I get into the kitchen to prepare a particular meal, my mind must be made up already which even causes the secretion of saliva at times.

Ghana – Omo Tuo (Rosaline’s dish)

Omo Tuo is a Ghanaian dish that may impress many, because of it’s likeness looking to Fufu. This cuisine is of another kind, made from rice and rounded to a shape that is actually sizable to serve one person fully.
